Historic Finale of “Your Face Sounds Familiar” breaks records in Bulgaria

19th May, 2025

The highly anticipated finale of NOVA’s flagship entertainment format, Your Face Sounds Familiar, has set a new benchmark in Bulgarian television history. Held at the iconic Vasil Levski National Stadium, the grand event gathered a live audience of 40,000 people, transforming the venue into a dazzling arena of emotion, music, and showmanship.

According to official audience measurement data, the 13th season finale achieved a remarkable 55% viewership share among the key 18–59 demographic, setting a record for any single episode in the show’s history. No other program broadcast by a Bulgarian TV channel in the past decade has come close to such audience engagement during primetime.

The finale outperformed its closest competitor by nearly fivefold, solidifying its position as the nation’s most-watched entertainment show.

The audience—both in the stadium and at home—was guided through the electrifying night by beloved hosts Dimitar Rachkov, Gerasim Georgiev-Gero, and Vasil Vasilev-Zueka, who returned from Spain especially for the event. The finale delivered powerful musical impersonations, stunning performances, a spectacular light show, and cinematic-level special effects.

Viewers cast nearly 200,000 votes via NOVA PLAY, ultimately crowning Veniamin as this season’s winner. His unforgettable portrayal of Michael Jackson, performing They Don’t Really Care About Us, earned roaring applause and praise from both audience and jury.

Second place went to Michaela Fileva, who stunned with her Beyoncé-inspired performance of Crazy in Love, while Ivan Hristov captured the spirit of Elvis Presley with a high-energy rendition of Blue Suede Shoes, earning third place.

The evening opened in grand fashion, as all past winners of Your Face Sounds Familiar united for a rousing medley. Raffi Bohosyan, Kalin Vrachanski, Nevena Bozukova, Slavin Slavchev, Fiki Storaro, Nencho Balabanov, Vladimir Zombori, Vlado Mikhailov, Mihaela Marinova, and Krasi Radkov appeared from different points of the stadium to kick off the show with Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and a beloved hit by Vasil Naydenov—setting the tone for a night that will be remembered as a defining moment in Bulgarian entertainment.
