Sarah Viteškić, reporter for Dnevnik Nove TV, has been awarded this year’s Lider “Hrvoje Mateljić” Award for the best television report on economic topics in Croatia.

The award, which has been recognizing excellence in economic journalism for 16 years, honors journalists who bring attention to the importance of economic issues in public discourse. Viteškić stood out for her consistent coverage of key economic developments in Dnevnik Nove TV, one of Croatia’s most-watched news programs.

“This recognition is a wonderful motivation to keep going, but I see it also as an award for the entire Dnevnik Nove TV newsroom — my colleagues, editors, cameramen, and editors. I learn from them every day, and all our reports, including this one, are the result of teamwork. I’m truly glad that our effort and dedication have been recognized by the profession,” said Viteškić.

The Hrvoje Mateljić Award, established by Lider magazine in memory of the late journalist Hrvoje Mateljić, is presented annually for outstanding reporting on economic topics in print, digital, radio, and television media. The jury is composed of distinguished journalists, editors of economic newsrooms, and economic experts.
