Nova TV is the first commercial television in Croatia with a national concession. It began broadcasting in 2000. Today Nova TV works in the Croatian market as a No 1 media group with the following channels: Nova TV, a specialised entertainment channel Doma TV, the international Nova World, and kids’ channel Mini TV. Nova TV’s success is based on its own production and independent and influential news program. Nova TV also owns the Nova Plus platform – a service that offers subscribers more than 5,000 hours of the best series, film and children’s content, as well as entertainment and news shows, and allows each viewer to create a program based on their own preferences. The Nova Plus platform also includes the film channel Nova Cinema and the family channel Nova Family.

The company’s strategy is to be a multimedia platform – a synergy of television and the internet. Nova TV has therefore assembled a whole range of web portals within its internet group:DNEVNIK.hr, showbuzz.hr, gol.hr, zadovoljna.hr, punkufer.hr, zimo, Kreni Zdravo, Teen 385, folder.hr,  Novatv.hr, Domatv.hr and novaplus.hr.

Within the carefully selected Nova TV’s program schedule we can highlight Dnevnik Nove TV, the most watched central news program in the country, the investigative show Provjereno, the most watched lifestyle magazine IN magazin, drama series Kumovi, popular entertainment formats such as Supertalent and MasterChef, as well as socially responsible TV show Startaj Hrvatska. In September 2018 Nova TV has begun exclusively broadcasting Croatian national football team matches, additionally enriching its program.

On annual basis, Nova TV produces in house and broadcasts 1.200 hours of domestic TV formats, including 170 episodes of original, in house produced, fictional formats, e.g. TV series ‘Kumovi’. Also, we air 200 hours of licenced formats and around 700 hours of news programe yearly.
