The director of the film, Mladen Matičević, says it is not a usual documentary, but has the form and narrative structure resembling its main hero – a documentary and a fairy tale, urban, emotional and romantic, all at the same time.
“I have talked to hundreds of people about Vlada and I’m completely fascinated by the fact that none of them ever said anything bad about him, and wherever I mentioned Vlada Divljan, the film about Vlada Divljan, doors opened up, which is, of course, his magic. It’s precious that there is a man about whom nobody said anything bad, “says Matičević.
Friends and colleagues Darko Rundek, Momčilo Bajagić Bajaga, Svetozar Cvetković, Zdenko Kolar, Aleksandar Šandorov, Mladen Juričić Max, Srđan Gojković Gile, Dušan Strajnić and many others took part in the film.
They recorded and performed their own versions of Divljan’s songs: Rundek sang “Samo jednu ljubav imam”, Ida Prester and Zemlja gruva performed “Vodim te na more”, while Srđan Gojković Gile sang “Ona to zna”.
