United Medija is pleased to present the TOP channel programming schedule and announce exclusive, high-quality content to be aired this autumn and winter.
The media have been given their first ever opportunity to talk to the people making local high-budget series, one-on-one Holywood style. TOP channel is bringing journalists in to see why it has won the trust and sympathy of its audience.
This autumn will be TOP with series: Senke nad Balkanom (Shadows over the Balkans), Ubice mog oca (My Father’s Killers), Konak kod Hilmije (Hilmija’s Guest House) and Žigosani u reketu (Branded on Court) as well as entertainment programmes such as Kefalica (Smarties), the quiz show Totalni obrt (Total Change) and cooking show Mr Kitchen. This is just the beginning because we will continue expanding our programme offer in future, in an effort to bring viewers a wide spectrum of different genres for all age groups. Besides domestically-produced novelties, TOP Channel will feature new seasons of series which we have already aired – How to Get Away With a Murder, Bridge and Wentworth Prison as well as the exclusive titles Animal Kingdom, Twilight Zone, Ashes to Ashes, Ripper Street and others, United Media Chief Executive Officer Aleksandra Subotic said, adding that TOP Channel is in the final stages of negotiation to air the globally popular series Suits, Mad Men, Orange is the New Black and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Series
SHADOWS OVER THE BALKANS 2
Six years after the events in the first season, the series main characters Tane and Stanko start an adventure which will shed new light on the hidden history of the Balkans. The heated atmosphere of social and ideological upsets includes careers being destroyed and created and secret societies and illegal organizations targeting state policies. And while drug gangs wage a ruthless war on the streets, Belgrade is shaken by a series of horrific murders which bring the heroes to the very heart of the mystery of one of the best known assassinations of the 20th century. The epic flow, exciting action, colourful new and old characters will take the second season of Shadows Over the Balkans a step further in setting new standards for domestic feature programmes. The new season begins airing in March 2019.

MY FATHER’S KILLERS 3
The Third season of My Father’s Killers sees Inspector Aleksandar Jakovljević solve the murder of a prominent doctor which has an unexpected twist at the end. The series uses this case to delve into the relationship between the private and public sector. In parallel, a huge war is underway between the narco clans trying to seize control of the drug market with Marjanovic trying to get him out of the way which proves to be impossible. The past, which Aleksandar has never managed to break free from because the murder of his father Mile, a former chief of the narcotics division, was never solved, is knocking on his door again. He finds out the painful truth which changes everything… The new season air on Mondays at 08:00 pm and is scheduled to start in November 12, 2018.

BRANDED ON COURT
This is a story of two once unseparable friends who played together on a famous basketball team which is facing ruin but will bring the two of them back together to raise it from the ashes. The modern fairy tale is actually a story of a second chance. A second chance for friendship, a second chance for father and son, a second chance for a ruined club, a second chance for talents, a second chance in the pursuit of happiness, a second chance for a generation whose best years were ruined. It airs on Thursdays and Fridays at 08:00 pm and is scheduled to start on November 1, 2018.

HILMIJA’S GUEST HOUSE
Hilmija;s Guest House takes us back to occupied Sarajevo in World War 2. Everyone comes to the guest house: communists in hiding, Ustashe, Chetniks, troopers of the Handzar Division, German soldiers and the city commander Sturmbannführer Schilling. They plot in front of each others’ noses and create conspiracies in which national tensions become less important than personal material gain. The cast includes two miners, partisans hiding in the cellar, whose mission is to dig a tunnel to the German weapons stockpile. It airs on Wednesdays at 08:00 pm.

Entertainment and Kids’ Programmes
MR KITCHEN
An entertaining show which combines culinary advice and interesting reciepes prepared by gastro-actor Slobodan Stefanović his interesing guests. Stefanovic does the show twice a week, preparing healthy meals which will include a variety of smoothies whose preparation has not been shown to date in local cooking shows. Airs every working day at 05:40 pm.
TOTAL CHANGE
This original quiz show is produced by United Media for all generations. The quiz brings eight games with words, images, music and tasks during which competitors have to recognize cities and buildings, popular artists, athletes, actors and entertainers or find hidden words and terms and turns players into detective following clues to a solution. Four competitors start out to try to beat each other to the title and collect points which the winner takes into the final game. Only the winner passes into the next stage and has a chance to win big money awards from show to show. The show airs every working day at 06:10 pm and is hosted by Milena Vasić.
SMARTIES (KEFALICA)
Answers to every question exist in the world of children. They are smart, original, sometimes romantic, witty but always honest. Find out how fascinating the kids’ world is and the unbelievable way in which children think, bring things together and answer questions which make even adults think. SMARTIES airs on weekends at 06:30 pm. Author and host Tanja Aleksić.
