As we mark International Women’s Day, we reflect on this year’s theme, Accelerate Action, which emphasizes the need for tangible, measurable progress toward gender equality. It is not enough to simply acknowledge the problem; it is also necessary to actively break down barriers in education, employment, and leadership to guarantee that opportunities for women are not only available, but actually accessible.

This commitment is deeply ingrained in United Media’s values. Women hold nearly half of our managerial jobs (49.7%), and 53.1% of our company leadership positions. These are not simply numbers; they represent the knowledge, passion, and leadership that have propelled our success. Our bright and enthusiastic women are influencing the future of our business, and each milestone they achieve contributes to a better world for future generations.

We also take pride in creating an environment in which equal pay is a reality rather than just an ideal. Nova TV, one of our biggest broadcasters, has received the Equal Pay Champion certification—the first of its kind in Croatia—which recognizes businesses who are devoted to fairness, transparency, and true workplace equality.

There is still work to be done, but we understand that every step forward is important. This International Women’s Day, let us honor the women who inspire us and continue to build a future in which talent, not gender, defines opportunity.
