Nova TV from Serbia announces a call for submissions of non-fiction TV format concepts and/or finished or partially finished television shows (works) of independent producers originally produced in Serbian language for broadcasting on Nova TV channels and/or platforms.

Applications can be sent until August 23, 2023 to the e-mail address konkurs@novas.tv, with the title COMPETITION 2023.

Projects can be submitted in one or more of the following categories:

1. Entertainment show with a duration of 13 episodes, with an episode duration of 150+ minutes
2. A quiz with a duration of 40+ episodes, with an episode duration of 45-60 minutes
3. Short form for social networks (Internet distribution), entertaining character, sketch, hidden camera, lasting 1-5 minutes or 10-15 minutes
4. Reality show with a duration of 24 – 80 episodes, with an episode duration of 60 minutes

We are looking for original, entertaining and contemporary television formats in the form of concept or produced format.

a) Applications for concepts must contain:
– a short biography of the author or author team
– personal motivation
– logline of the show
– synopsis of the show
– synopsis of the pilot episode
– the structure of the season
– the bible (rules, explanation of the mechanisms of the show, duration of the season and episodes, casting, description of the contestants and other participants, example of the presenter, description of the studio and/or filming location, describe the advantages and commercial aspects of the project)

b) Applications for produced formats must contain:
– information about the independent producer (excerpt from the court register, information about the website, if it exists, information about the portfolio, if it exists)
– a short biography of the author or author team
– personal motivation
– logline of the show
– synopsis of the show
– synopsis of the pilot episode
– the structure of the season
– the bible (rules, explanation of the mechanisms of the show, duration of the season and episodes, casting, description of the contestants and other participants, example of the presenter, description of the studio and/or filming location, describe the advantages and commercial aspects of the project)*
*If all episodes of the season have been recorded, the bible is not required.

Among the submitted works, Nova TV will select the best ones at its discretion until September 30, 2023, and offer the authors the possibility of purchasing the material/work and further cooperation, which will be regulated by contract.

Nova TV has the right to choose several works and not to choose any of the offered works, and to revoke this competition at any time. In that case, Nova TV will return the submitted documentation to the bidders or destroy it in an appropriate manner, at its option.

*The Personal Data Protection Act (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 87/2018) applies to the processing of personal data collected in this contest, and United Media Production, Bulevar Zorana Đinđić 8a, Belgrade, as the handler and processor, informs all participants of the competition, that the participant’s personal data (name, surname, e-mail address, and, if necessary, phone number and/or address) will be used only for the purpose of organizing and conducting the competition, as well as that the legal basis for the processing of said data is Article 12, paragraph 1, point 6) of the Personal Data Protection Act (processing for the purpose of achieving the legitimate interests of the operator).
