19th December, 2025
Citizens across Croatia donated more than €260,000during a live broadcast of the 20th “I Want Life” Christmas charity concert in Zagreb, organized by the Ana Rukavina Foundation in partnership with the City of Zagreb and Nova TV.
This traditional concert once again highlighted the power of humanity and the importance of continuous investment in saving lives and improving Croatia’s healthcare system. During the concert and its live broadcast on Nova TV’s television and online platforms, citizens donated more than €260,000 through phone calls and contributions, supporting the continued work of the Foundation.
The stage welcomed some of the most prominent names of the Croatian music scene. Through their emotional and entertaining performances, they further enriched the warmth of the evening and supported the humanitarian campaign aimed at raising funds for the professional education of specialist physicians and residents in hematology and related medical fields.
The concert also honored the legacy of Ana Rukavina Erceg, whose public appeal for help inspired the creation of the Foundation and continues to drive its mission of saving lives through solidarity and public engagement.
“Once again, we felt how powerful love, solidarity, and togetherness can be when we unite around a noble cause. The “I want life” concert once again delivered a message of hope to everyone facing serious illness. Thanks to the generosity of citizens, significant funds have been raised, allowing us to continue Ana’s mission of saving lives and helping those most in need. Years after Ana’s call for solidarity, her love for life and others continues to live on through every donation, every helping hand, and every act of support for the Foundation. You prove that together we can achieve great things and create real change. I sincerely thank everyone who stands by us and who, through their trust and kindness, continues to preserve and fulfill Ana’s dream,” said Ms. Marija Rukavina, Manager of the Ana Rukavina Foundation.
“The strong turnout and heartfelt support of our viewers once again confirmed how much we can achieve together, how much compassion exists among people and how much goodness emerges when forces are united. The “I want life” concert, carried out in partnership with the Ana Rukavina Foundation, is a powerful example of the values Nova TV continuously promotes through its socially responsible initiatives. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project with their dedication, commitment, and heart. When we see how many lives have been touched and saved through this initiative, we feel deep gratitude and pride that “I want life” leaves a lasting and positive impact on society,” said Dražen Mavrić, President of the Management Board of Nova TV.
The Ana Rukavina Foundation continuously invests in the future of Croatian healthcare by financing the professional education of young healthcare professionals. Since its establishment in 2007, the Foundation has donated €4,380,000 of its own funds to Croatian healthcare for equipment and projects. It also contributes to system improvement by enabling young healthcare professionals to undergo advanced training at leading world clinics in the fields of hematology and pediatrics.
