Fantastic results of the first United Media Football Fantasy Challenge
17th July, 2024
Alongside the thrilling championship final between Spain and England in Germany, United Media’s inaugural football fantasy game came to an end. The Spanish players emerged victorious on the green pitch of Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, but there were six winning teams in total.
For the first time, United Media organized a digital project simultaneously in six different countries and languages, unified by a single platform and experience.
Over 16,000 football fans from Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro played the European Football Fantasy 2024 on eight United Media digital outlets. The game was hosted on Sport Klub portals in Serbia and Slovenia, as well as on the websites Nova Sports and Sportdog in Greece, Dnevnik.hr in Croatia, Nova.rs in Serbia, Vijesti in Montenegro, and N1 in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Enrico Maccione, Co-founder of FantaKing Interactive, expressed his delight:
“We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of our Euro 2024 fantasy football game in collaboration with United Group, which saw 16,000 teams created. This achievement, accomplished in a short time frame, underscores the enthusiasm of football fans and the strength of our partnership with United Group. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to deliver engaging and innovative fantasy sports experiences to fans across the region.”
Daniel Bukumirović, United Media Digital Content Director, shared his excitement:
“European Football Fantasy was a great experience for us at United Media. The project fostered collaboration and synergies within United Media. Most importantly, we managed to attract over 16,000 participants from six countries in a very short time, enhancing their Euro 2024 experience and pleasing many sponsors and partners across the region. Following the Euroleague Fantasy Challenge and this summer’s football fantasy, United Media will continue to develop new, fun, and engaging projects for our digital landscape.”
