Fight Channel changes its name to SK Fight
31st December, 2021
From January 1st, 2022, Fight Channel, a specialized channel dedicated to combat sports, will become a part of the most successful regional sports brand Sport Klub and changes its name to SK Fight.
The concept of the channel, which is unique in Europe in terms of its content, will not change, so viewers will still have the opportunity to watch live broadcasts of the most important combat competitions.
During 2022, spectators will also be able to follow all UFC fights, a total of more than 40 competitions annually. As the main promoter of MMA fights, the UFC has been gathering the best ranked stars of this sport for more than 25 years and filling the world’s biggest arenas and stadiums.
SK Fight channel will be available in all countries of the region, and in addition to UFC fights, it will broadcast other prestigious combat competitions, including Bellator, Glory World Series, FFC and others.
Founded 10 years ago, Fight Channel has positioned itself in the market as one of the leading channels of this genre. Since 2017, it has been part of United Media, the leading media company in Southeast Europe, which has more than 55 televisions and almost 40 portals in its portfolio.
Joining the Fight channel to the SK brand, which for years has held a leading position when it comes to broadcasting the most important sports competitions in football, basketball, tennis, motorcycle sports, will contribute to its further development and positioning outside the region.
“We plan for SK Fight to expand its business in the coming period with attractive broadcasts of new competitions, but also to significantly enrich its archive of recordings of the most significant fights. Also, in addition to international events, our goal is to promote and develop the domestic and regional combat scene, and to educate young people about combat sports through documentaries”, said Nemanja Simeunović, the director of SK.
