First Anniversary of Forbes Adria: A Year of Milestones and Influence
14th November, 2024
Forbes Adria editions proudly celebrate their first year of establishment, a period during which they have become an indispensable source of information and inspiration for business leaders across the region. With a focus on exclusive stories, interviews with influential figures, and analyses that shed light on key economic and social topics, Forbes Adria has secured an important position on the regional business community map.
In its first year, the digital editions of Forbes in Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, and Croatia, launched by United Media, have redefined the standards of business journalism, providing content that is not only informative but also inspirational. Through our websites and the Forbes Magazine show, which we launched under the Forbes license, we offer a unique perspective and promote values crucial for the development of modern business.
We have reached millions of visits on each of our portals and built a growing community of loyal followers on social media! In our first year, we also achieved outstanding success with our first regional event—the Forbes Women Summit, which gathered 30 of the most influential global and regional entrepreneurs as panelists, alongside a fantastic 400 participants.
Ivan Radak, editor of Forbes Serbia, highlights that in the past year, the portal has brought a new dynamic to Serbia’s media scene, achieving what they set out to do—respect based on quality. “We’ve worked hard, but we’ve arrived where we wanted. Public administration and the economy now have another eye watching over them,” he says.
“We focused on strengthening the part of the media scene that was losing momentum: investigative journalism in the economic sphere. We’ve brought positive competition, which has encouraged colleagues to be even more agile. Together, we’ve enhanced the public’s information at a time when we face a deluge of information, often characterized by its superficiality and inaccuracies, as Radak emphasizes.
We are committed to being unique and purposeful, which is why you can find a wealth of valuable advice on business careers and everyday life on our website, forbessrbija.com, and in the Forbes Magazine show, along with investigative stories and interviews. You’ll also discover stories about successful individuals and fascinating phenomena around us.
“We entered the new media project Forbes Slovenia with a lot of courage and optimism, but not without uncertainty, as we were aware that it wouldn’t be straightforward to carve out a space in the market, where competition for business content is relatively strong. We said that there’s always room for good media, and with a small but dedicated team of journalists, we began building it. We brought exclusive information, business stories, interviews, analyses, and portraits. We reported on current events in business in the broadest sense, from technological innovations to public finances. We published over 3,200 articles,” says Bojana Humar, editor of Forbes Slovenia.
She adds that after one year, it is clear that they were right, as the numbers show and prove that Forbes Slovenia has become a relevant source of business information in the country. “In just one year, we’ve built a loyal readership and achieved millions of views on our portal forbesslovenija.com, across social media, and through our weekly newsletter.”
Đurđica Klancir, editor of Forbes Croatia, highlights that this website has become a crucial business media outlet in just one year on the demanding scene, with continuous growth in readership and stronger connections with entrepreneurs, managers, analysts, and politicians. Forbes Croatia has delivered dozens of exclusive news stories, followed key changes, and presented inspirational stories about new and established leaders.
“People have always been and remain our focus. Forbes Croatia does not publish generalized stories that omit names while discussing problems or actions that require clarification. Forbes Croatia doesn’t hide or skip over anything. When we look back over the past year, people dominate our coverage,” she emphasizes, adding that she is particularly proud that Forbes Croatia also launched its TV show.
Biljana Matijašević, editor of Forbes Montenegro, states that they can proudly say that this was a year of success for them. “As part of the global Forbes network, Forbes Montenegro has brought international journalism standards to the Montenegrin media space, focusing on topics related to economics, entrepreneurship, and finance. Very soon after launch, the portal attracted the attention of all key players in the domestic economic scene.”
She adds that she is extremely proud that Forbes successfully executed a major regional event in its first year—the Power Women’s Summit, dedicated to women entrepreneurs, which brought together over 400 participants, contributing significantly to the empowerment of women in business.
“Forbes has become a platform that connects key players in the market, serving as an inspiration and support for those creating positive changes in society. Our biggest success is also our most important goal: to shed light on and support the leaders, recognizing their passion and contribution, and telling their stories in a way that inspires others. Through Forbes’ unique content and network, we’ve connected the regional business scene with global trends, shown the world what our people can achieve, and laid a strong foundation for future projects and initiatives,” says Ika Ferrer Gotić, editor of Forbes Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Forbes Adria continues with a clear goal—to be a leader in business information, delivering content that inspires, empowers, and educates its readers.
