The 16th of June is an important day for N1 Slovenia – it celebrated its third anniversary this year. The N1 team thanks the readers, viewers and listeners for their trust during the first three years of the editorial office‘s existence which continues to report with courage.

»If someone had asked us on June 16th in 2021 what we would like to achieve in just three years and where we would be today, our predictions would probably have been more timid than the actual achievements of N1 Slovenia«, says the N1 team.

How well N1 was received by the Slovenian public is not only shown by people’s reactions, but also by the numbers. More than 650.000 readers have been following N1 regularly, up from 668.000 last month. N1 has already created more than 30.000 videos and published more than 90.000 stories – many of them exclusive.

N1 team celebrated this milestone with a great party and the awarding ceremony for outstanding achievements. The award for Journalist of the Year went to Andreja Lončar, a journalist in the field of finance, energy and economy, and the award for the best sports journalist was given to Timotej Rupar, a journalist from the Sportklub website.

Staš Zgonik, a journalist of the Poglobljeno within the N1 newsroom, is the winner of the award for special achievements, as is the Forbes Slovenia team, which successfully launched a new business portal in Slovenia last year, Forbes Slovenia.

The award for special merits went to the head of the N1 Slovenia desk, Neda Došenović, and the award for the best young journalists in the desk went to Neža Pušnik and Jakob Murovec. From the production team, the cameraman, photographer and editor Jan Gregorc received the award.

A dedicated team of N1 editors and journalists works seven days a week, from early morning to late evening, to provide fast and factual information to the public. They report and expose what is happening at home, follow what’s happening around the world, bring news and stories from the world of sport, business and economy, investigate what needs to be investigated, analyse through N1 Podcast with Suzana Lovec, confront the decision-makers in N1 STUDIO with Miha Orešnik, bring in-depth stories and also provide entertainment.
