Croatian television network Nova TV and the regional news platform N1 are among this year’s winners of the SoMo Borac Awards — the leading regional recognition for excellence in digital projects, creativity, and innovation.

Nova TV’s project “Charity Exchange & Jersey Auction” won second place in the Best Media Feature category, while the redesign of N1’s website and mobile app took third place in the Digital Design of the Year category.

The goal of the “Charity Exchange & Jersey Auction” initiative by the portal gol.hr was to raise funds to provide housing for members of the Kamenčići Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities in Šibenik. This year, the project successfully raised €44,000 for that cause.

The redesign of N1’s website and mobile app was also recognized among the award winners.

N1 Info is one of the most trusted and recognizable media brands in the region, known for its credibility, speed, and independent journalism. Changing audience habits required a redesign that would strike the right balance between three key goals: preserving the brand’s strong identity, significantly improving the user experience across all platforms, and empowering journalists with tools tailored to modern news production. The recognition at this regional competition confirms that we achieved exactly that.

Since its launch in early May, the redesign has delivered clear results:14.38% increase in average time spent on the site, 7.27% more page views per visit, 25.23% growth in total page views and measurable improvement across all key Google Core Web Vitals metrics.
