Ana Malbaša, the reporter of the show “Provjereno”, which is broadcast on Nova TV, is one of the winners of the Marija Jurić Zagorka award for television journalism awarded by the Croatian Journalists’ Association.

She was awarded for a report on embezzlement of land on the island of Brač. After the broadcast, this story got its legal epilogue.

“I think that this award belongs not only to me, but also to my fellow cameraman Kristijan Janton, who recorded the moments in this feature story. It took courage to experience such verbal attacks. This is also the award of the entire editorial board of Provjereno, which brings stories every Thursday. I am glad that the institutions did their job in this case”, said Ana Malbaša.

In 2021, 149 candidates in nine categories competed for the awards of the Croatian Journalists’ Association.
