Rights to broadcast EURO 2020 matches in Croatia sold to HRT
2nd December, 2019
The company United Media sold terrestrial rights for broadcasting all matches of the European Football Championship in the territory of Croatia to the public service broadcaster of that country.
Thus viewers in Croatia will be able to exclusively follow all matches of this Championship on the national public service broadcaster, thus confirming great cooperation between the companies United Media and HRT.
„Football is still the most important unimportant thing in the world and knowing the value of this sports competition in which the best European team is chosen, we have purchased the broadcasting rights two years ago and offered them to the public service broadcaster in Croatia. We are glad that HRT recognized the importance of allowing their audience to follow EURO 2020 matches on their channels, said the CEO of United Media, Aleksandra Subotić.
United Media holds rights for broadcasting qualifications for the European Championship, matches of the Nations League and qualifications for the World Championship, and the viewers will be able to watch those matches on the Nova television.
The European Football Championship will be held from 12 June to 12 July 2020, and the matches will be played in 12 countries.
