25th March, 2025
On March 25th, Serbian channel TV Nova marks its sixth anniversary, celebrating another successful year in which it solidified its position as the most-watched cable television channel in the country and the second most-watched commercial TV channel on the SBB network.
Since its inception, Nova has set high standards in television production, establishing itself as a leader in delivering high-quality, relevant content. Over the past six years, it has earned the trust of millions of viewers through diverse programming and innovative formats. From entertainment shows to groundbreaking news programs, Nova has successfully engaged a broad audience while upholding the highest journalistic standards.
“One of the key reasons for Nova’s success is our unwavering commitment to understanding and meeting audience needs. We are proud of our achievements, but we know there are many more challenges and opportunities ahead. Fresh ideas, innovation, and content that push the boundaries of entertainment and journalism remain at the heart of our vision for the future. We sincerely thank our loyal viewers, who are the driving force behind our success,” said TV Nova’s Director, Predrag Pavlović.
Throughout major social and political events, Nova has remained a trusted source of accurate, verified information through its flagship news program Dnevnik, as well as its morning and afternoon formats. Weekend programs such as the satirical show 24 Minutes with Zoran Kesić and the iconic political talk show Impression of the Week continue to break viewership records and gain recognition beyond Serbia’s borders. Meanwhile, the latest season of the reality competition Survivor has maintained phenomenal ratings, reaffirming its status as an undisputed audience favorite.
From the very beginning, Nova has introduced several key TV formats that have become audience staples. One of its latest projects, the children’s show House with 1,000 Doors, enriches both its spring programming lineup and the Serbian media market, which has long lacked this type of content. Over the past year, United Media’s original productions have particularly stood out, captivating audiences with the war drama Time of Death and the feature film Guardians of the Formula, both of which have achieved remarkable success both domestically and internationally.
TV Nova has also experienced significant social media growth over the past year. Its Instagram following surged by 64%, platform reach increased by 33%, and Facebook reach grew by 21%, demonstrating the widespread appeal of its content across different generations. Nova’s TikTok account now attracts 4.6 million views per month, while its TikTok News page records 2 million monthly views, solidifying social media as a key avenue for engaging with its audience.
