TV Nova in Serbia celebrated half a decade of broadcasting. From the beginning of the signal broadcast on March 25, 2019, until today, Nova has positioned itself as the most watched cable television in Serbia. In the past year, it has also recorded a significant increase in viewership by almost 10%, and the latest TV Beat results for the first half of March show that the entertainment-competition show “Survivor” and the series “Time of Death” are the dominant media content in the country, which place Nova to the position of the most watched television by far among the total competition.

These results, as well as those on social media that show the growth of reach by a phenomenal 22% on Instagram and Facebook in the previous year, as well as reaching the jubilee 100,000 followers on Instagram, come as another confirmation of the quality of the Nova program, which continuously justifies the trust of viewers. From year to year, from show to show, Nova has become a favorite gathering place for viewers who want the highest quality media content.

“The fact is that TV Nova sets completely new standards for the production of television content, and the viewers recognize that. In these five years, from a new cable television on the Serbian media market, Nova has grown and developed its potential to significant proportions, so today it has the status of the ultimate television station with the most attractive entertainment programs and shows that change the perception of informative programs in Serbia. However, the most important thing is that we continue to invest even more decisively in the quality of content, to work professionally and independently as before, and to be the voice of our viewers”, emphasized the director of TV Nova Predrag Pavlović.

In these five years, Nova has enabled viewers to follow the most popular licensed world formats – “Survivor”, “The biggest loser”, the quiz “Who want to be a millionaire”, the cooking competition show “Come dine with me”, which break viewership ratings, both on television – as well as on social media. The entertainment program on weekdays is enriched by the quiz “Totalni obrt“ intended for all generations, while on weekends, viewers relax with the original shows “Utisak nedelje”, “24 minuta sa Zoranom Kesićem“, “Veče sa Ivanom Ivanovićem“, “Zdravo misli“, which may boast of being the most viewed content in the country by far.

The team of top professionals also continues to create recognizable informative content. The central news show Dnevnik has gained a huge audience and continues to raise standards in domestic journalism. Viewers have the opportunity to hear accurate and verified news in Vesti, which has been providing information recently on TikTok as well, in the section “TikTok news with Radovan Seratlić”.

The morning shows “Probudi se” and “Pokreni se” also remain unchallenged in terms of ratings in their respective airtimes, while “Mentalno razgibavanje” stands out, because the audience returns to the content that has already been broadcast, so the show has the highest number of replays. The afternoon show “Među nama” may also boast of the prestigious award for the best domestic entertainment-informative show, which it won last year at the Digital23 conference, and in addition, it has recorded the highest growth in viewership compared to the previous season.

In previous years, Nova’s audience enjoyed some of the best United Media production series – “Awake”, which won the Audience Award at the Cannes festival, “Time of Evil”, “Shadows over the Balkans 2”, “Legacy”, “Branded on court”, “Weekend with pops”, “Alexander of Yugoslavia”, “Best men”, and the latest refresh of Nova’s serial program was brought by the war drama “Time of Death”, one of the largest production ventures in this region, produced by United Media and with the executive production of Eye to eye.
