17th December, 2024

United Media proudly presents the series “Time of Death”, an adaptation of Dobrica Ćosić’s iconic novel. As one of the largest and most ambitious production projects in Serbia, the series showcases unparalleled dedication and craftsmanship.

In the past two years of work on this exceptionally demanding project, a team of 400 actors and 1,000 extras filmed for more than 200 days! The script spanned 1,200 pages, and shooting took place across hundreds of locations in Serbia.

The ambitious production of the 30-episode series “Time of Death” tells the story that shaped the consciousness of the Serbian people, following the fates of its characters during one of the most significant historical moments—the victory in the Battle of Kolubara and the subsequent decision for the Serbian army and civilians to retreat across the Albanian mountains.

Created by Goran Šušljik and directed by Ivan Živković, “Time of Death” brings to life the most dramatic and poignant events of Serbia during the Great War. “Time of Death” is undoubtedly the most complex and ambitious television project in this region”, emphasized Šušljik.

The TV series features significant historical figures such as King Peter I Karađorđević, Regent Alexander Karađorđević, Field Marshal Živojin Mišić, Field Marshal Radomir Putnik, Prime Minister Nikola Pašić, and many others. The cast includes Žarko Laušević, Predrag Miki Manojlović, Dragan Mićanović, Voja Brajović, Radovan Vujović, Nina Janković, Teodora Dragićević, Andrija Milošević, Milan Marić, Filip Stankovski, Isidora Simijonović, Nikola Rakočević, and many others.

The script was written by Sanja Savić Milosavljević and Đorđe Milosavljević, while Nikola Pantelić, alongside Šušljik, served as executive producer. Šušljik and director Ivan Živković previously adapted two of Ćosić’s other novels—“Roots” and “Time of Evil”.

The series is now available in Serbia on the Nova S channel and in the EON catalog.
